RIDE-9™ adjustment system

The RIDE-9 adjustment system allows riders to quickly fine-tune their geometry and suspension with a pair of Allen keys. Nine configurations are possible thanks to two interlocking chips.

SMOOTHWALL™ Carbon

Smoothwall carbon uses one of the world’s most sophisticated carbon processes to deliver industry leading stiffness-to-weight, ride quality, and durability.

Size Specific Tune

Size Specific Tune ensures that riders of all sizes get the right balance of small-bump compliance, mid-stroke support, and end-stroke progressiveness. Our design team does custom shock tunes based on real world field testing, and adjusts each tune for specific frame sizes.

Speechless

I’ve been riding my altitude for a bit over a year now and I’m blown away.

I’ve ridden a lot of different bikes up until this one, and simplicity and performance of the altitude is simply mind blowing. The bike just works. It’s really easy to maintain in terms of service and cleaning and keeping it dialled, the smoothlink pivot layout delivers more grip than anything I’ve tried. A friend took my bike for a spin and a few weeks later they were on an altitude too. This bike really is that good.

Whaou effect !!!

A month ago I sold my german e-mtb and bought a second hand 2020 Altitude C70 27.5’. What a bike ! It’s incredibly efficient as a climber and gives you confidence when downhilling on single or large tracks. I’ve got a lot to discover riding this bike but everything seems to be easy to reach. I remember 25 years ago when I saw for the first time a Rocky Mountain in my small south of France bike dealer, I was « in love » (it was too expensive as I was a student), now I’ve got One and feel incredbly lucky !

Best and fastest bike I've ever ridden

There's something special about how the Altitude's rides. Whether I'm on familiar trails or new ones, the handling and the overall feel of the bike have continued to impress and surprise me in the two years I've ridden this generation of Altitude. My first ride was on a fairly rowdy trail that I'm very familiar with, and compared to other bikes I had ridden down the trail, the Altitude gave me a sense of poise and control that I didn't know was quite achievable. Not to mention the fact that every hole and speed-sapping feature on the trail seemed to disappear under the Altitude, and I've now adjusted to riding faster (and smoother!) than ever before because the bike casually generates speed and fluidity where there used to be none. It may be a bit much for your average trail ride or long-distance excursion on blue trails, but it's fun nonetheless because of its mild handling characteristics and comfortable geometry. I couldn't be happier and more impressed with what Rocky Mountain have done with the Altitude over the years, and I can't wait to see what they come up with in the future because this bike is going to be very hard to top.
